From what and how modern perfumes are made. (Part 3) A review by Sunday21.

An interesting fact is also the production of scents of animal origin, the scent of musk, amber, beaver jet. They aren't very pleasant on their own, but they sound very good with other ingredients and in small quantities. In addition to essential oils in modern perfumery perfumes widely used synthetic scents, they can be identical to natural, and may be quite different, in general, they add new shades and enhance the resistance of modern perfumes. There are several types of them. Rose, terpineol "lilac", linalool "lily of the valley" are created on the basis of alcohol, namely geranium. With the help of hydrocarbons, lemenon is released, i.e. the smell is similar to lemon. With the help of simple esters you get the smell of cloves, cherries, fruits. On the basis of complex esters you get a fragrance of jasmine and coumarin with the pleasant smell of freshly mown hay. Thanks to aldehydes it is possible to get vanilla, and with the help of nitro compounds the smell of musk and amber is created.

The possibilities of modern perfumery are completely unlimited.

Nowadays modern perfumery cannot do without chemical raw materials, it simply dominates. It is no longer possible to create something new from natural components, but thanks to synthetic compounds, fragrances gain new life. Of course, in the descriptions you can always find scents with descriptions, where exactly natural names are used, from the point of view of marketing the consumer will not want to buy fragrances with a description of chemical compounds. In fact, all fragrances contain up to 80 percent of chemical components and this has already become the norm. Of course, perfumers will always be inspired by nature, its components are quite rare and expensive. But thanks to the cheapness of chemical raw materials and the vitality of nature, fragrances can do really amazing things in tandem. Every person should find the true fragrance, no matter how and what it was produced, because the most important thing in perfumes is to bring joy to their owners.
